Breakthrough T1D Maryland is hosting their first-ever Breakthrough T1D Crab Feast, bringing together families, supporters, and the wider diabetes community for an afternoon of connection, celebration, and Maryland tradition.

Captain Lantus
We're excited to welcome Captain Lantus as one of our newest community partners!
Created from the real-life journey of Max, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just 18 months old, Captain Lantus is an inspiring series of children's books that transforms diabetes education into exciting superhero adventures. Through engaging stories, the books help children better understand life with Type 1 diabetes while reminding them that they are brave, capable, and never alone.
At The Cybernetic Diabetic, we believe confidence begins with feeling seen and understood — values that perfectly align with Captain Lantus' mission to empower children and families through education, imagination, and encouragement. Together, we're helping inspire the next generation to embrace their journey with courage and confidence.

Up-and-Coming Community Partner
Cheyenne & Karson Ellison
We're excited to share an early look at a meaningful new community partnership in the works.
Cheyenne & Karson Ellison are currently authoring an interactive children's book inspired by their young daughter's recent Type 1 diabetes diagnosis. Created with care, understanding, and lived experience in mind, this project is designed to help make the early stages of a T1D journey feel less overwhelming for children and families.
The first edition of the book will be centered around a young girl's experience and will explore topics such as what's inside the diabetes bag, checking blood sugar, insulin and diabetes tools, treating highs and lows, and reducing fear through understanding.
What makes this project especially exciting is its interactive, hands-on design. The book is being developed with removable pieces, sensory elements, and tactile learning features to help children engage with diabetes concepts in a way that feels approachable, educational, and empowering.
We're honored to spotlight this up-and-coming community partner and the heart behind this project. As development continues, we look forward to sharing updates with the community and keeping you posted on the book's progress and release.

Abilities Expo New York Metro!

We are excited to announce that The Cybernetic Diabetic™ is heading back to Abilities Expo New York Metro — and this time, we will be there in a bigger space!
Join us April 30–May 2, 2027, at the New Jersey Convention & Expo Center. We are looking forward to reconnecting with the community, meeting new visitors, and showcasing even more of our device covers, organizers, accessories, apparel, and other designs that help make wearable technology feel more personal.
